Risks
Equal words and unequal work cause most fights. So does a deed that never says how a partner exits. A friend who lends money is not automatically a partner. Do not name a sleeping relative as a partner to use their identity.
Notarising a deed for a business that needs a licence does not give you that licence.
Limits
The notary does not file the form with the Registrar of Firms unless that is separately agreed. Dissolving the firm, or removing a partner, needs a later writing. There is no cooling-off period in the Notaries Act. A minor cannot be a full partner who is personally liable, though a minor may be admitted to the benefits of partnership. If a minor is involved, say so before the draft is made. That point should be checked against the Act for your facts.
Why a borrowed deed is risky
